Through an invitation from ¨Casa Chiapas Utah¨ to Mexico, to publicize and participate in the work for migrant families with the ¨Hispanic Communities Council¨, Natalia Solache travels to the city of Guadalajara representing Utah as a Mexican migrant woman,
¨Consejo de Comunidades Hispanas¨ is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Hispanic migrant families living in the States for the preservation of culture, history, language and family values.
In order to reinforce this objective, the organization has dedicated itself to creating activities that involve the culture and history of our countries abroad.
Mr. Enrique Michel Velasco, an honorary member of this Association, has had the noble gesture of donating the replica of the Bell of Dolores, the national symbol of the Independence of Mexico in order that Mexicans in the United States preserve a part of history of their country of origin and can transmit the story to present and future generations and demonstrate the correct celebration of the Independence of Mexico whose historical date is September 16 and which is frequently confused with the date of the Battle of Puebla on the 5th of May, historical date, but not that of Mexico’s Independence Day
At the meeting of the ¨ Council of Hispanic Communities, Natalia Solache suggested to the state of Utah for the placement of the bell since it is a central State that was once part of Mexico, and that has received and protected Mexicans by giving them the opportunity to development, its capital Salt Lake City is a city in development and that became a sanctuary city for the protection of Mexican immigrants and from other countries
Having different states in the United States within the proposal for the placement of the independence bell, due to the number of settlers of Mexican origin such as California, Illinois, Washington and others, Utah was selected for the characteristics presented by Natalia Solache and by their perseverance, work and dedication in participating in activities for the migrant community in a binational way.
As a result of this effort, Utah has the honor of being the recipient of the replica of one of the most important national symbols of Mexico and that will give the state of Utah an international cultural and historical projection.
The donation process from the granting of resources, artistic creation, as well as the completion of the permit and transfer procedures from the State of Chiapas to southern Mexico to crossing the border to the city of San Diego, California and from there until his arrival in Salt Lake City August 30, 2020 and finally on the 1st. In September, Mr. Pedro García Águila of the Council of Hispanic Communities and Honoris Causa, came from Guadalajara, Mexico to attest to the arrival of the Bell whose name is ¨Libertad¨, which will be installed in the Mexican Civic Center of this capital city , to be unveiled and officially inaugurated in a civic act of great importance for Mexicans until further notice
